3 From the Utah Flash

It's nice to flex those studio muscles. Through the magic of "doing it for real" I created these shots to market the NBA's newest D-League team, the Utah Flash. No photoshop trickery. No layers. No motion blur filters. It's great to share the same vision for the job as the client - we both wanted to do this 'real'. He's happy, the client is happy, I'm happy. Rock On.Labels: basketball, flash, stroboscopic

2 from the beach

It's nice to sit on the beach watching the water crash over the rocks - a real counterbalance to all the time I put in sitting on an office chair, watching progress bars try to crash my mac.Labels: Beach, Foam, Waves

Portland Futsal Project

I recently had the opportunity to photograph some great ball players at Portland Futsal.
Futsal is a much faster, intricate form of indoor soccer [see wiki entry]. We had the run of the place, and were able to set up a great lighting and shooting situation. There's nothing like having a futsal ball (smaller and heavier) whizzing past your head to liven up a shoot.

March Fourth Portrait Project

I added to my PCNW Musicians Portrait Project last night, with a furious round of portraits before and after the world famous March Fourth Marching Band took the stage at the Wonder Ballroom. I got some fantastic shots and will be dedicating a website to this project soon. Stay tuned for more details....Labels: march fourth, marching band, stilts
